So the lovely Anne Hathaway has two big movies out and has fully recovered from her ordeal as a co-presenter on the Oscars. She has a lovely-seeming boyfriend, gives great quotes in interviews and generally comes off as a bright but uncensored young woman, with passion and a dollop of fashion pizzaz. And now she is also on the cover of edgy fashion and celebrity magazine Interview for the latest issue.
In the images, shot by Mert and Marcus, styled by Karl Templer, Annie wears Valentino, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, McQueen, Chanel, Gucci and a sprinkling of vintage. I am not sure they could have squeezed in another couture designed black dress if they tried as she got her statue on in some graveyard. You may be able to tell from my tone that this is not my favourite Anne Hathaway fashion editorial ever. It just isn't. But I loved the interview.
Chelsea Handler handles that bit and it is funny and self deprecating and interesting and full. I couldn't stop reading it. Anne covers how she feels about Kate and Wills (Ob. Sessed.) About J.Woww on Jersey Shore. About risks she takes with fashion. And about building strip malls in Italy. Sort of. It is excellent. Get the mag when it comes out. You will be doing yourself a favour even if the fashion story is a bit cliched.
