It has been quite a month so far for Natalie Portman. Her new film, The Black Swan, has been premiering all over the place and she has been turning up on the various red carpets, looking amazing and serene and beautiful - to much critical acclaim.
The fash-pack love this movie because the costumes were designed by the Rodarte sisters, who it is rumoured could be up for an Oscar for their efforts. And so quite a few column inches and photo opportunities have been seized for Ms Portman. And the fashion industry is quite giddy about her right now.
The latest media coup is the cover of this weekend's New York Times Magazine. On Sunday, the residents of NYC will wake up to a blonde Natalie Portman, especially for their mag. She looks incredible, it needs to be said. But personally, I always feel a bit inadequate in light of her beauty, talent, social responsibility and activism as well as her apparent grace. So I was a tiny bit happy to see her looking tired and cross at the New York premier earlier this week. So she is human! And then I felt bad for being so mean. Sigh. Still not quite as human as I.
