Is This Pucci Frock The Most Popular Dress This Season?

Dresses are popular. We all like a little dress these days. It's easy and you know what the whole thing looks like before you put it together. But the danger of the dress is that someone else could be wearing the exact same dress. And there is no room for individuality. Well, aside from hair and shoes. And this year the dress that everyone loves...everyone is wearing...is the Pucci black velvet and lace dress with the adorable Peter Pan collar and bow. It's an everything dress. It is sexy, but quirky. It is fitted, but stretchy. It is on trend and timeless. You see, it is everything. And apparently crosses ages and styles.

Alexa Chung did it first. It worked. The shoes were great and it seemed signature Alexa. About the same time, we got a glimpse of Freida Pinto on the cover of UK InStyle in the dress. And it seemed appropriately 'covered up' for the modest star. Just this week, Kylie Minogue stepped out in the dress. Great choice of shoes. And then there was latest star of the year, Jessica Chastain. It just seems to suit everyone. Well, nearly everyone. Kris Kardashian. I don't know. The chopped off bow? The bra straps? I really don't know. I think maybe this is a push too far.

I know I would give the dress a go. It really is super cute. But I think there may be a point at which 'nun' takes over from cute and it all gets too much. What is your opinion? Would you wear it?
