I am guessing that there are not many of you readers that don't, quite willingly, sing along to Lady Antebellum's big cross-over hit "Need You Now" when it comes on the wireless. It is a jolly good song and we can all relate a bit to it. Having seen the country trio on the televisual box a few times, I have always been a bit intrigued by female vocalist, Hillary Scott's style. A bit hit or miss is what I would have said up until now.
Yes, would have said, as in the past three red carpets, she has somewhat stood out from the crowd. You see, this morning I trawled the picture feeds for images of great frocks from the CMT Awards held last night. And there was precious little to make a fashion heart sing. But Hills here looked good. And then I remembered her frock from the Billboard Music Awards, where she looked GOOD, dressed as she was in a Mandalay silk dress with that incredible embossed collar. And at the Grammys earlier this year when she wore Cavalli there was loveliness, wasn't there.
I mean, sure she sticks to black. But black with some attack is better than Nicole Kidman's horror show of green velour and chiffon handkerchief hem that she wore last night. Sometimes you just can't un-see things!
