Trendy Print Bags Support Women in Ghana

First, these bags are fun and pretty and perfectly on trend for this summer. Now that we have that out of the way, let's also enjoy the fact that they take money spent by the Americans for fun, pretty, trendy bags and use it to fund the lives of women in the poorer areas of Ghana. That's what I call fair trade.
LA-based designer Tina Tangalakis formed a company called Della to help Ghanaian women achieve financial independence while creating versatile and playful handbags. In addition to providing the women with jobs, Della also educates them in entrepreneurship. The line, which includes wallets, clutches, and a great oversized hobo, uses authentic Ghanaian fabrics. Plus, they're all hand-made by local seamstresses out of completely vegan materials. The company also recently introduced laptop and iPad cases. Perfect.
