So New York Fashion Week is over. And it is on to London. The 2012 spring collections have literally just started showing this morning, but last night saw a couple of parties that kicked it all off. The first was the celebration of make-up brand Rimmel's 10th year of partnership with the model who defined the decade, Kate Moss.
The big shebang took place at the old Battersea Power Station, which was lit up in brand colours for the night. I did try and find some fun outfits from the party to show you, but some days I am reminded how shabbily the Londoners can dress. There were way too many over-tanned, over made-up bandage dress wearers, sloppy parkas over cocktail dresses and dull little black dresses. Sigh. I really tried. The only person who looked AMAZING (other than Kate of course) was my new fashion crush Solange Knowles in this stunning dress of yellow sunshine. Actually made out of sunshine. Probs. Maybe.
Book club mate, Dannii Minogue and her partner Tabitha Webb, also hosted a party in celebration of their new Project D collection of dresses - one of which Dannii is wearing in a beautiful midnight blue.
And so we are off. Let's try and keep up with all the shows in London. At least they happen during our day and not overnight. NYFW is a nightmare to keep up with!
