So far four new magazine covers have been released for international October issues. We have already seen the luminous image of Angelina Jolie, shot by Mert & Marcus, for Vanity Fair. Yowzers. Who looks like that so close up? Not mortals, without a LOT of help, that's for sure. You may also have glimpsed the high octane cover of US Glamour, containing not one, not two, but three huge names. Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys and Demi Moore share the cover as part of the project they are working on to create short films about women's experience of breast cancer. It is a poignant and interesting way to address breast cancer month and I was thrilled. Until I read the piece, which was really just another opportunity to do a fluff piece on the love life of the women involved. Sigh.
The interview with Rachel Weisz in Lucky US is much more interesting and compelling - especially since she has just secretly got wed to James Bond. (Although she doesn't discuss that, of course. Class.) But I wasn't so crazy about the images. They made a great beauty look suburban. What a waste.
But I did love the new cover of UK Elle. Aggy Deyn. Back at work as a model. Recently here in SA. Looking adorable. What's not to love? I'll take one Agyness over seven Angelinas on a cover any day.
So which is your favourite so far?
