Kirsten Dunst and James Marsden for Band of Outsiders

Every year the quirky hipster label Band of Outsiders produce a set of polaroids featuring their new collection as modeled by cool young actors. This year they have chosen Kirsten Dunst and James Marsden and set them up in a series of off-beat scenarios that are humorous and charming and that communicate something about their collection.
As a marketing strategy I love this. It is simple and collectable and memorable and compelling. It has gained loads of traction on the blogs and in the weeklies so far and so I think that they can chalk this up to a win, as campaigns go. Of course it may look deceptively inexpensive but I am betting there is a few bob spent here, so it is good to see that they are getting bang for their buck.

We may not get their clothing here yet, but keep an eye on these guys, if you are a self-respecting fashionista. Also, they show for the first time at New York Fashion Week this week, and you can get a front row seat by watching the live streaming, if you fancy it.
PS: The rooftop shots above are actually titled Gay Lord's Roof so that's for my mate Jeremy then.
