Sitting in the Royal Box at Wimbledon must be one of the most amazing ways to enjoy the tennis. As someone who is lucky enough to have watched from the bleachers on Centre Court a few years ago, I can almost taste how wonderful it must be. And if you are in line to be Queen one day, you probably belong there. And dressed in Alexander McQueen is almost certainly the best way to go. As Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, did yesterday. Alongside her husband, Prince William.
Of course we all know that Kate has worn this dress before. Almost exactly a year ago when she was in Canada and dressed up as Anne of Green Gables. I still love the look more as she wore it with the pony tail. It just looked more youthful and sweet.
And while last year Kate wore a dress that looked like an actual tennis dress to Wimbledon, this one at least is just 'on theme' as opposed to a full-on dress up look. And I like it. And I wish I was there watching the tennis with her. Damn it.
