I am sitting at my desk wearing a shirt I bought from August. I attened the show wearing August. Not intentionally, you understand, but because I have a few lovely pieces in my wardrobe that are very wearable and easy to pop on for work or play. This is how we know August - girlie, comfortable, beautifully finished and wearable.
And this is exactly what we got from her summer show - only we then got a bit more too. A little more personality and signature style. A bit more interesting detail and fashion directionality. It wasn't over the top. It didn't detract from what we want from an August collection. We just got to see a bit of evolution and development from a solid designer, with a profitable business. Perfect.
