Last Night Was A Good Night

Last night I got to hang with some of this city's most stylish, charming and TALENTED blokes. I went to opening night of Rob van Vurren is Rob van Vuuren - honestly one of the funniest shows EVER. You have to go and see it. I went with one quarter of the Dirty Skirts, Jeremy. Right there you have two goodies. Then afterwards lovely Mark and Lorraine (another quarter of the Skirts) joined us for a drink. Rob himself came out to play. And just as we were having a jolly time, the winsome sounds of Lonesome Dave Furguson were added to the mix. Winning all round.
Rob van Vuuren is Rob van Vuuren is on at the New Space Theatre on Long Street every night till the 17th October. Book at Computicket.
Also Rob and my glamorous mate Anele will be hosting SA's Got Talent starting tonight on the televisual box.

Chloe Hugo-Hamman For Converse

Chloe - blog regular - recently emailed me with some exciting news: "I have some rather exciting news for me and perhaps you will be interested. I was one of the winners of the Product Red Converse design competition. I have recently found out that not only can you buy my shoes overseas but in Cape Town!"
Congratulations to Chloe and go and snap up these lovley high tops online today.
UPDATE: New message from Chloe, "I should have mentioned before but you they are available to buy off the shelf. I have seen them at the Converse Store in Canal Walk and at the Golden Acre. I believe they are also at Stuttafords."

Behind the Scenes on Location

Here are some shots from the set of the Woolworths World Christmas fashion shoot. I never post kiddies shots from the front as I think that this veers a bit into dodgy territory, but they are cute from the back too! Lots of lovely clothes to buy this season.
BTW, that's Christopher doing child care and doubling as a photographer's assistant. He is actually the creative director but likes to get involved! Fun.

Antonia is one of the most exciting fashion photographers in town right now and she shot our location pics for Woolworths World magazine for December. The first portrait shot I took of Antonia back in May was a negotiated styling and this shot is the natural follow up.
Great fun to work with, inspirational and supportive, and yet no one was more surprised than I when she suggested the second sitting!

Behind the scenes on Day 2 of the Woolies World shoot and two of the lovely models are hanging about - as you do on a shoot. Hair is half done, waiting for their shots... Leather jackets are de rigueur... And uncool poses are bandied about, just for fun.
