Marvelous Marni
I forgot to tell you all that I popped into the Marni store at Bicester Village while I was in the UK last month. My hope was that I would be able to find something I could afford. But sadness prevailed at I had to leave empty handed although more in love with Marni than ever. Perfectly quirky. Unique and inspired. Love.

Introducing Deborah - Iracema Boutique
I will be showing you a lot more of what you can get from Iracema over the next week here on this blog. Iracema is a private boutique based in Cape Town offerring the most magical goodies from the best of UK and quirky European design. None of the big labels, rather all very interesting and edgy but oh, so beautiful.
Deborah is the brains, energy and lovliness behind all this. I think it is fantastic that not only are we developing new local design, but we are also being exposed to the very best of international design. It can only make us better, and more informed fashionistas, honing our eye and raising our expectations. This is a good thing.

David West's Weekend Special
If you go down to the market on the weekend, don't forget to pop across the road for a cheeky ice cream and to check out talented designer David West's summer collection. I love the pleated skirts from an aesthetic perspective, but I utterly adore the white shirts from every perspective. The t-shirts rock too.

New Online Boutique Launches Today - Africhic.com
The most important aspect to this new online boutique for me, is that it is all about promoting and accessing local designers. A SA designer site, that makes SA fashion available around the globe. This calls for a celebration.
Launching sometime today, go and check out all the lovely local goodness at www.africhic.com

Alternative Shopping - Buy My Clothes
Another exciting shopping opportunity this weekend takes place tomorrow at The Penthouse at the Cape Royal Hotel in Green Point. A bit posh this one. It is a sale of rarely (in my case often never) worn items of fashion beauty. I have contributed a bunch of my treasured items and you can therefore be assured that there will be gloirous bargains in all size. A percentage of the proceeds goes to charity.
For example you can get Reiss tops at around R200. What!?
BUT YOU MUST RSVP IF YOU WANT TO GO. Email sjaniel.t@gmail.com with your name and details and you will be put on the guest list. See you there.
Alternative Shopping Season
There is just so much shopping to do at this time of year, and luckily CT is stepping up with loads of alternative and interesting locations. First up, tonight at the Old Biscuit Mill is The Mobile Boutique. Featuring stalls from some of the best and least known designers around town, this is a great opportunity to pick up fresh new style. Open from 6pm to 11pm every Friday night, this is alternative shopping at its best.
